On most days you’ll find Jordan Watson working at the Navy Federal branch serving the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport, Mississippi. But on other days, Watson is committed to serving her country in the Air Force Reserves.
“Jordan is an outstanding member of the NCBC Gulfport team,” said Kristie Hagen, assistant branch manager. “She’s committed to providing outstanding member service while ensuring she meets branch goals and objectives.”
In 2012, Watson began her “other” career, serving in the Air Force Reserves – a call to serve that has led to Watson being named the 2015 Airman of the Year for the Air Force Reserves 403rd Wing. The eligible ranks are Airman Basics (E-1) to Senior Airman (E-4).
In 2015, Watson was called away from Navy Federal to serve in the Air Force Reserve for eight months.
“She has been a powerhouse from the start of her career,” said Sherita Johnson, transportation superintendent with the Air Force Reserves 403rd Wing. “During a recent deployment, SrA Watson was a key participant in the movement of over one thousand personnel and more than 2.5 million pounds of equipment.”
“She was selected [for the Airman of the Year award] due to her experience, knowledge, attitude and professionalism. She’s my number one Airman who is a test-proven, reliable individual who gets the job done, no matter what!” – Sherita Johnson transportation superintendent with the Air Force Reserves 403rd Wing
“Jordan’s work ethic is second to none,” Hagen said, “and she is a true pleasure to work with. We are proud to have her as part of the Navy Federal team.”
