Last year, Navy Federal’s 259 worldwide branches set a record of more than 20 million visits. With the year 2015 already underway, there are some big developments happening in the Navy Federal branch network. Here are four things to keep an eye out for this year at a branch near you.

1.  Instant Issuance

The future is already here when it comes to issuing debit cards. We recently put instant issuance machines in all branches across the globe, and it will be available in all new branches. Previously, it could take more than 10 days by mail in some locations for you to receive a new card. This is a huge win, especially for military families who can face irregular training and deployment schedules.

2.  Mobile-Friendly Branches

Several branches already feature digital devices and kiosks that help speed up lines. They can also educate you on products and services specifically designed to meet your financial needs. Check with your local branch to see if they have Wi-Fi! Most of the branches in the U.S. have it so you can check your Navy Federal mobile app in the branch!

3.  Grand Openings in 20 Locations

Navy Federal is constantly evaluating locations within the U.S. and abroad that will best serve members. This year, 20 new locations are opening up, and another eight locations will be switching addresses to best fit our your needs. Nine branches expect to have concept ideas, such as an open floor plan and enhanced technology features, to improve your experience. Many of the new branches will be located on or near military installations, including, amongst others:

  • U.S. Coast Guard Training Center, Yorktown Va.
  • Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas
  • Fort Bliss, Texas
  • Fort Riley, Kan.
  • Fort Stewart, Ga.
  • Fort Gordon, Ga.
  • Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wa.
  • Naval Base San Diego, Ca.

4.  Events Hosted by Navy Federal Branches

Every year, branches around the world host a variety of events and seminars to connect with the local community and educate members on upcoming purchases and financial decisions. Check out the free Navy Federal Events web page for more information about seminars on home buying, finances, auto sales, business services and more.

As always, check with your local branch to see what new products and services are available to best fit your financial needs. We look forward to seeing you in our branches this year!
