Each year, November is declared “Military Family Month” by Presidential proclamation. Established in 1996 by the Armed Services YMCA, Military Family Appreciation Month recognizes families of servicemembers across the country for the commitment and sacrifices they make in support of our military.

Here at Navy Federal, we are proud to have served military members and their families for over 80 years. We appreciate everything servicemembers do for our country, and understand their families are the foundation that keeps them strong. In celebration of Military Family Appreciation Month, we sat down with one of these families to learn more about the important sacrifices they make each day. Meet the Cernys.

We hope you’ll join us this November in celebrating military families serving around the globe, and invite you to share your family’s story in the “Comments” section below!
