Since 1963, National Small Business Week has been a time to recognize America’s innovative and hard-working entrepreneurs and small business owners. As Vice President of Navy Federal Business Services, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank and highlight our outstanding small business members who put their every ounce of time, energy and effort into growing competitive businesses that help drive advancement and create jobs.

As part of our National Small Business Week celebration, we have sat down with a few of our successful small business members to learn more about their path to entrepreneurship, including their visions, dreams, challenges and successes. Their passion comes through full-throttle and I’m looking forward to showcasing these stories on our blog next week.

The buck doesn’t stop with a great business idea. Being a small business owner is challenging and involves having knowledge in a variety of things such as industry best practices, local market needs, money management, and handling accounting and tax requirements.

So be sure to check out our blog next week to hear from the best and brightest of America’s small business entrepreneurs: Navy Federal members.

For our members who are interested in starting a business or have questions about the process, join us for a Live Q&A on Facebook  this Wednesday, 5/14 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. ET.
